Cramerton Twill was the "twill of record" during WWII. While many variations of khaki were of official issue, this was the 9 oz. standard to which all others were held. The same holds true today. We describe our 5 Pocket Cramerton Twill as a "khaki guy's" jean, or a "jean guy's" khaki.
