Made for Life
Stationed in the northwestern frontier of British India, Sir Harry Burnett Lumsden ordered his troops to over-dye their imperial white uniforms to an earth tone to better blend in with the desert landscape. Dyestuffs were scarce in 1846.
Berries, tea, mud and water were all ingredients available for a soldier to conform to the new standard. Bills Khakis' Tea Label captures the natural spirit and earthy origins of the color khaki and all that followed.
